How to play Blitzcrank
Read the full guide
Blitzcrank lane is about taxing the last-hit: step off the minion line, use his right-arm hook geometry, and make Q threaten before you cast it so the enemy ADC feels punished just for touching the wave
Many of Blitzcrank’s cleanest catches start with walk-up E, then Q on the panic path or burned Flash, and at 6 R can come first to strip shields or silence the answer that was keeping the target unhookable
Blitzcrank does not fall off just because bot lane was quiet; the real collapse is when you fall far enough behind to lose bush and ward-line ownership, while recent data shows his even games stay relatively steady deep into midgame and later
Peel when the hook that looks exciting would actually help the enemy more than you. If a diver is already crossing onto your ADC or mid, E plus the instant silence from R usually does more than gambling on a backline pull through tanks. The quick check is simple: if you cannot hook a carry without dragging their frontline into your team, turn and make the first champion in your space regret it. Blitz is still a real bodyguard once fights start collapsing inward, and many average lanes stay winnable because that defensive version of the champion is still strong.
Blitzcrank gains a shield based on their mana when dropping to low health.
Blitzcrank fires their right hand to grab an opponent on its path, dealing damage and dragging it back to them.
Blitzcrank super charges themself to get dramatically increased Move and Attack Speed. They are temporarily slowed after the effect ends.
Blitzcrank charges up their fist to make the next attack deal double damage and pop their target up in the air.
Enemies attacked by Blitzcrank are marked and take lightning damage after 1 second. Additionally, Blitzcrank can activate this ability to remove nearby enemies' shields, damage them, and silence them briefly.
