How to play Brand
Read the full guide
Burn something first so E has an anchor—on Brand support, a minion clipped by W, a melee support in the wave, or the first tagged champion should start the trade, and Q is usually the receipt after the spread begins
The first diver or support through the door is often the right wick: Brand is happy to start on that body if it lets passive spread and R bounces keep traveling through the rest of the fight
Play lane around brush-side, last-hit timing chip so the next skirmish starts with enemies already singed and clumped; recent data matches that feel, with Brand’s wins looking best while fights stay crowded and losing bite once games stretch into cleaner late spacing
Ult when the bounce is already promised, not when you are still hoping people will stand together. In practice that usually means one of three moments: the enemy support or diver has already gone in, both bot laners are still tethered to the same wave or choke, or a river fight has compressed around one entrance. If those conditions are there, R can start the chain just fine. If the fight is still wide and people are separating, wait a beat and use W or E first to make the next contact stick. The common mistake is holding Pyroclasm for a perfect clip after the formation has already opened.
Brand's spells light his targets ablaze, dealing damage over 4 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. If Brand kills an enemy while it is ablaze he regains mana. When Blaze reaches max stacks on a Champion or large monster, it becomes unstable. It detonates in 2 seconds, applying spell effects and dealing massive damage in an area around the victim.
Brand launches a ball of fire forward that deals magic damage. If the target is ablaze, Sear will stun the target.
After a short delay, Brand creates a Pillar of Flame at a target area, dealing magic damage to enemy units within the area. Units that are ablaze take an additional 25% damage.
Brand conjures a powerful blast at his target that spreads to nearby enemies, dealing magic damage. If the target is ablaze, Conflagration's spread is doubled.
Brand unleashes a devastating torrent of fire that bounces up to 5 times off of Brand and nearby enemies, dealing magic damage to enemies each time bounce. Bounces prioritize stacking Blaze to max on Champions. If a target is ablaze, Pyroclasm will briefly slow them.
