Your axe marker tells on you, so the real Draven mechanic is not “catch everything” but leading the catch with your movement, dropping bad axes, and using E to keep the next circle playable instead of walking into the CC aimed at it
Treat W like a refund loop, not a spam button: it is strongest when the next catch resets it, when you need the dodge, or when the all-in has already started, and mashing it between every axe is one of the easiest ways to drain your mana and lose the trade
Draven lanes are judged by whether your stacks cash out into real gold, not by the CS screen alone—recent data shows he is one of the most early-gold-sensitive bottom laners, and gold-ahead even-CS lanes are much better than pretty farm lines that never pay you
If you are holding a big Adoration stack and the lane gets messy, lower the ambition of the next minute. Keep the wave in a spot where you can still catch axes without walking into support range, stop forcing catches that pull you forward, and spend W only when the reset is likely or you need the dodge. You are usually looking for one clean exchange that becomes a real kill, not three shaky trades that leave you flashless and dead. If the enemy lane is clearly stronger in the moment, let your support or jungler start first contact and be ready to cash out on the second beat instead of trying to manufacture it yourself.
Draven gains his fans' Adoration when he catches a Spinning Axe or kills a minion, monster, or tower. Killing enemy champions grants Draven bonus gold based on how much Adoration he has.
Draven's next attack will deal bonus physical damage. This axe will ricochet off the target high up into the air. If Draven catches it, he automatically readies another Spinning Axe. Draven can have two Spinning Axes at once.
Draven gains increased Move Speed and Attack Speed. The Move Speed bonus decreases rapidly over its duration. Catching a Spinning Axe will refresh the cooldown of Blood Rush.
Draven throws his axes, dealing physical damage to targets hit and knocking them aside. Targets hit are slowed.
Draven hurls two massive axes to deal physical damage to each unit struck. Whirling Death slowly reverses direction and returns to Draven after striking an enemy champion. Draven may also activate this ability while the axes are in flight to cause it to return early. Deals less damage for each unit hit and resets when the axes reverse direction. Executes enemies who have less health than Draven's number of Adoration stacks.
