How to play Gragas

TopTopPreload W, trade on short contact, and if you W into E, manually pick the post-slam auto target; Gragas is strongest when Body Slam cuts off the opponent’s second touch instead of volunteering an extended brawl
Level 6 changes top lane because R is a direction tool, not just engage—you can throw someone back under tower, peel a diver off your carry, or split a fight before the second spell cycle starts
A Gragas lead is sharp rather than permanent: recent data shows his big 10-minute leads lose a lot of bite after 30 minutes, so the reward for winning lane is using the next crash or topside fight while cask and burst still feel expensive to answer
When the cask changes the shape of the exchange, not just when it adds damage. In lane, that often means using R to turn tower space into a trap, throw someone back after they overstep, or deny the route they need to finish a long trade. In skirmishes, look first for the direction that isolates one target or breaks their follow-up, especially if your E and second rotation will land cleanly after. In teamfights, a plain peel cask is often better than a flashy engage if it buys time for your next cooldowns. If you are unsure, ask which cast makes the next two seconds easiest for your team.
Gragas periodically heals upon using a skill.
Gragas rolls his cask to a location, which can be activated to explode or will explode on its own after 4 seconds. The potency of the explosion increases over time. Enemies struck by the blast have their Move Speed slowed.
Gragas samples his latest brew for 1 second. After finishing, he becomes boisterous and belligerent, dealing magic damage to all nearby enemies on his next basic attack and reducing damage received.
Gragas charges to a location and collides with the first enemy unit he comes across, dealing damage to all nearby enemy units and stunning them.
Gragas hurls his cask to a location, dealing damage and knocking back enemies caught in the blast radius.
