How to play Janna
Read the full guide
Stand level with your ADC and make lane about the enemy support’s step forward: W, one or two autos if it’s free, then shield the answer so the trade ends before it turns into a long exchange Janna does not want
Use tornado to cut the route, not to fish for a hit—brush Q, diagonal Q through the path they need next, then Monsoon early if you need the fight to start over before the second body reconnects
Janna’s warded brush is part of the champion, not just support homework: her speed and vision ownership make tornado and reset much meaner on face-checks, and recent data fits that feel by showing strong payoff for early ward control and better long-game recovery than the tempo-heavier enchanters nearby
Into poke lanes, play much more for lane shape than for tag damage. Your W is not worth eating two ranged spells back, so stop walking up just to prove you can touch them. Stand level with your ADC when the wave and minions let you, but only trade when shield can cover the answer and you already know your exit path. Brush still matters, just more for breaking vision and shortening tornado reaction time than for bullying melee engage. If the lane is annoying but you can keep health high and base on time, that is usually enough. Janna gets punished harder by chipped health than by a small missed poke window.
Janna's allies gain Move Speed moving towards her.Janna deals a portion of bonus Move Speed as bonus magic damage on hit and with Zephyr.
By creating a localized change in pressure and temperature, Janna is able to create a small storm that grows in size with time. She can activate the spell again to release the storm. On release this storm will fly towards the direction it was cast in, dealing damage and knocking away any enemies in its path.
Janna summons an air elemental that passively increases her Move Speed and enables her to pass through units. She may also activate this ability to deal damage and slow an enemy's Move Speed.
Janna conjures a defensive gale that shields an ally champion or turret from incoming damage and increases their Attack Damage.
Janna surrounds herself in a magical storm, throwing enemies back. After the storm has settled, soothing winds heal nearby allies while the ability is active.
