Mid
In lane, play around the Q shard through minions; longer-range mids will stand off the wave to deny the splinter, so forcing direct poke usually loses the trade and your cleaner punish windows come when someone finally walks into the wave line or dashes into W range
Put self-R on a dedicated bind and decide that cast early, because a lot of Lissandra’s strongest engages are won by making yourself untargetable inside the dive and letting the slow zone hold the fight in place, not by defaulting to enemy-cast ult
Lissandra is at her best when one caught target turns a tight river, jungle, or objective fight into frozen ground the enemy cannot walk through, and recent data supports that she can still do that job from modest early deficits better than many mids
Self-ult when your engage only works if you survive the first half-second. If you are Flash-Ring into multiple people, arriving with claw into return damage, or buying time for teammates to close distance, self-cast earlier than your panic instinct usually tells you to. Enemy-cast ult is better when the catch is already clean and your team can immediately reach the pinned target without you needing stasis to live. A useful in-game check is simple: if locking them down wins only if you stay targetable in the middle of their team, self-ult was probably the stronger cast. This gets especially important in tight river and jungle fights where the slow zone keeps everyone stuck near you.
When an enemy champion dies near Lissandra they become a Frozen Thrall. Frozen Thralls slow nearby enemies and then, after a delay, shatter from the intense cold, dealing magic damage to nearby targets.
Throws a spear of ice that shatters when it hits an enemy, dealing magic damage and slowing Move Speed. Shards pass through the target, dealing the same damage to other enemies hit.
Freezes nearby enemies in ice, dealing magic damage and rooting them.
Lissandra creates an ice claw that deals magic damage. Reactivating this ability transports Lissandra to the claw's current location.
If cast on an enemy champion, the target is frozen solid, stunning it. If cast on Lissandra, she encases herself in dark ice, healing herself while becoming untargetable and invulnerable. Dark ice then emanates from the target dealing magic damage to enemies and slowing Move Speed.
