How to play Renekton
Read the full guide
Better Renekton lanes often start from 20–40 fury, then cross 50 on the last hit or first touch so the trade becomes real without advertising it, and E2 should already be assigned as the exit or finish before you dash
Empowered W only shatters a shield that already exists on the first hit, so against Shieldbow-, Sterak's-, or Sett-style shield windows you usually want to trigger the shield first with an auto, Q, or E, then red W
Renekton’s best games make top lane feel rationed—one short trade and Q swing turns into denied farm, a bad wave, or a late rotation for the enemy top—and recent data says those early advantages lose a lot of force as the game drags
When lane flips against you, stop trying to win it back with the same dash-first trade that would have worked earlier. Trim the wave, keep enough health that your next fury window is real, and value empowered Q much more highly if it lets you heal through the opponent’s answer and reset the lane instead of dying for a red W. E2 gets even more valuable here because burning it for damage usually hands over the rest of the lane. Your job is to stay dangerous enough that one overstep, one jungle hover, or one messy skirmish still gives you a clean punish instead of a desperate all-in.
Renekton's attacks generate Fury, increased when he is low on life. This Fury can empower his abilities with bonus effects.
Renekton swings his blade, dealing moderate physical damage to all targets around him, and heals for a small portion of the damage dealt. If he has more than 50 Fury, his damage and heal are increased.
Renekton slashes his target twice, dealing moderate physical damage and stuns them for 0.75 seconds. If Renekton has more than 50 Fury, he slashes his target three times, destroying damage shields on the target, dealing high physical damage, and stunning them for 1.5 seconds.
Renekton dashes, dealing damage to units along the way. Empowered, Renekton deals bonus damage and reduces the Armor of units hit.
Renekton transforms into the Tyrant form, gaining bonus Health and dealing damage to enemies around him. While in this form, Renekton gains Fury periodically.
