How to play Teemo
Read the full guide
Play the side brush like part of your combo: step in and out for passive attack speed, tax last-hits with short AA-Q-AA trades, and use blind on the return auto they were waiting to land rather than as casual poke
Your best mushrooms are usually on the next step, not the current one—retreat lines, chase paths, and the bend people naturally take into river or an objective—because Teemo wins a lot of fights while backing through ground he prepared first
Recent data backs a sturdier read of Teemo than the usual ranged-top caricature: compared with similar tops, he is less tied to blowing lane open early and keeps more value in even or slightly losing games once blind, poison, and trap coverage start warping messy fights
Start with the route you expect to use while backing up, not the spot you hope someone randomly face-checks. In lane, that usually means one mushroom on your retreat line, then one on the bend or brush edge the chase naturally flows through. Around river or an objective, seed the entrance people take by habit and the follow-up step after it, so the first trigger slows them into the second decision. Avoid stacking them too tightly or burning all of them on the wave unless the shove itself is the reason. If a fight starts with you already kiting through prepared ground, your mushrooms are doing their real job.
If Teemo stands still and takes no actions for a short duration, he becomes Invisible indefinitely. If he's in brush, Teemo can enter and maintain his Invisibility while moving. After leaving Invisibility, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise, increasing his Attack Speed for a few seconds.
Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing damage to the target unit and blinding it for the duration.
Teemo scampers around, passively increasing his Move Speed until he is struck by an enemy champion or turret. Teemo can sprint to gain bonus Move Speed that isn't stopped by being struck for a short time.
Each of Teemo's attacks will poison the target %i:OnHit% On-Hit, dealing damage on impact and each second after for 4 seconds.
Teemo throws an explosive poisonous trap using one of the mushrooms stored in his pack. If an enemy steps on the trap, it will release a poisonous cloud, slowing enemies and damaging them over time. If Teemo throws a mushroom onto another mushroom it will bounce, gaining additional range.
