Support
Play lane from loaded E: stand where Flay plus auto is believable, because that posture is what makes hook clean, and Flash-Flay is often the real opener rather than raw Q from max range
On Thresh, Q is two decisions, not one—landing hook does not mean you should take Q2, and a parked hook often already won by denying brush, wave access, or a clean step forward
Throw lantern on paths, not champions: place W on the route your ally or jungler is already moving through, and use those crash-earned moves instead of brute-forcing roam kills, which fits the recent data showing Thresh is less roam-spike dependent than peers like Pyke
Take Q2 when the ride improves the fight you already started, not just because the hook landed. If your ADC can hit the target, the enemy support cannot punish your entry, or The Box / Flay will trap the landing spot, go. If the hook already forced flash, stopped their step forward, or parked someone long enough for your team to win the trade from range, stay put and keep control of the space you just created. The fastest way to make Thresh feel coinflippy is to turn every hook into self-launch. Treat the recast like a separate spell with its own pass/fail check.
Thresh can harvest the souls of enemies that die near him, permanently granting him Armor and Ability Power.
Thresh binds an enemy in chains and pulls them toward him. Activating this ability a second time pulls Thresh to the enemy.
Thresh throws out a lantern that shields nearby allied Champions from damage. Allies can click the lantern to dash to Thresh.
Thresh's attacks wind up, dealing more damage the longer he waits between attacks. When activated, Thresh sweeps his chain, knocking all enemies hit in the direction of the blow.
A prison of walls that slow and deal damage if broken.
