How to play Zoe
Read the full guide
Press R to fix the next spell, not to start freestyling: the good Zoe pattern is bending E around the wave or a wall, stretching Q, or sneaking a passive auto, because the return point is part of what enemies punish if you blink first without a clear line
Zoe lane is less about being a little ahead and more about whether your hit actually changed the lane—burned a summoner, opened the minion line for bubble, or made the next walk-up unsafe—and recent data backs that her early skillshot conversion matters more than a cosmetic small lead
Zoe’s best games usually come from the messy stretch between shove and full teamfight, where W turns dropped summoners into movement and burst and one pre-fight chunk or sleep matters more than a tidy 5v5, especially before an early lead has time to flatten out
Side lane on Zoe should usually be brief and purposeful. Catch the wave, push it far enough that someone has to answer, then disappear before the lane turns into an honest duel or a long visible stare-down. You are there to create uncertainty for the next mid, river, or jungle entrance, not to prove you can hold a side lane forever. If an objective is spawning soon, shorten the trip even more so you arrive first with fog and wall access. If the enemy comp can easily punish your R return point or force on your team while you are showing, stop side-laning earlier and play around chokes instead.
Zoe's next basic attack after casting a spell deals bonus magic damage.
Zoe fires a missile that she can redirect in flight. Deals more damage the longer it flies in a straight line.
Zoe can pick up the remnants of enemy summoner spell and active item casts and cast them once herself. Whenever she casts a summoner spell, she gains 3 missiles that fire at the nearest target.
Causes the target to become drowsy, then fall asleep. While asleep, the target's Magic Resist is reduced. The first source of damage that breaks the sleep is doubled, up to a cap.
Blink to a nearby position for 1 second. Then blink back.
